Signs of Spring

Early March has been more like mid April around Western Oklahoma. Temperatures in the 70s and 80s have welcomed all the robins to return and the grass, bulbs and tree buds to start showing themselves. It really is beautiful! I think Spring flowers are very gorgeous; very delicate and elaborate! It was a real joy to see the yellow daffodils in bloom!

Then, Winter announced that he was still around and his voice would be heard. We had hard freezes last night. I spent some time yesterday covering up budding plants and taking pictures of the pretty signs of Spring, knowing that these signs could disappear this week.

Miss Spring, please don't rush or we won't be able to enjoy you in all your splendor!
