We closed out 2011 with fun times and fun people.
We welcomed two little baby guppies.
We have enjoyed the kids’ artwork, school work and handmade gifts. The boys enjoyed lots of classroom fun and activities.
This writing paper of Dellen’s is worth “clicking” on and reading. He is so precious to me. The other day he said he told some boys in the bathroom not to say “Oh my God” because that was not being nice to God’s name. I pray for his and Sam’s faith and roots that grow deep and the boldness to stand firm in their faith.
We enjoyed seeing Dellen and Sam as shepherds in our church’s Christmas narrative.
After Christmas, we enjoyed a trip to Corn where Sam was able to attend a reunion of his first grade class. The public school closed at the end of his first grade year, and his teacher retired afterwards. So, this first grade class is super special. We are so appreciative of Mrs. F, and the continued love she has shown for her last class, and for Sam as she has been dedicated in writing him postcards this last year to aid in his transitions.
Her husband manned the grill and endured the chaos. They raised three boys of their own, so I wasn’t nearly as mortified when I learned that Sam ate three cheeseburgers at that luncheon!
Unfortunately, three little boys were missing.
Meanwhile, Dellen enjoyed time with his best friend.
Our family enjoyed our time with Papa and Mema and a few other friends, before returning home and spending a short visit with my parents while they were traveling through. What a special way to end the year!
