Sam and Dellen were in a precious children’s Christmas program at church, performing in both services on a Sunday morning a couple weeks before Christmas.
Dellen was the Inn Keeper, and was the only child fitted for a head piece microphone in order to hear his sweet soft voice say his lines. Lines such as:
“I have no standard rooms available. The stable, however, has room and is a moderately livable shelter.”
“I’ve heard that before. Don’t let him forget that. You may stay in the stable for 90% the cost of a regular double bed suite.”
“Even though it’s the stable, I still have obvious liability issues.”
Most adorable 1st grader saying those big words for his first program with memorization. So proud of him and absolutely love that boy!
Sam played the lead Wiseman, Melchior, and said the following:
“Hello my distinguished and wise colleagues.”
“I believe I have discovered the Star in the East!”
“Yes. But remember, our research shows this child will not be an Earthly King.”
“Greetings, Governor Herod.”
“In your province, a King is born who will be a Savior to Mankind.”
“We can explain further if you’d like.”
“Thank you for your accommodations.”
“The Star is over Bethlehem.”
“Counselor, …and Prince of Peace….and Myrrh.”
“You’ve got a big responsibility.”
“You’re right. I don’t trust Governor Herod.”
Love this sweet man-child also, and am very proud.
