At Last!...Official!...Or Whatever You Want to Call It!
We have at last had the official word that we are able to get our house!! This has been a month and especially last week and hours of waiting to hear an official yes. We are leaving shortly for a Wednesday morning closing! We will be pulling our boat and a pickup full of boxes.

Closing Not So Close
Ugh! Our realtor called last night to give us a heads up that closing probably wouldn't happen on Friday, as they haven't heard back from the underwriters. And since noon today has come and gone, it is a for sure thing not to happen in two days. Not sure when now. Ah...the adventure, right?

Having posted the last of our New Jersey travels, I really need to place a rather low priority on this blog. I've done such a poor job anyhow with my inconsistency in posts. Sorry. It is hard for me not having the time to share what all I am feeling and what our family is experiencing these days.
Some experiences include: full blown packing, empty walls, box towers, fabulous farewell moments with friends and church groups, Christmas lights, Christmas shopping, designing our Christmas card and just waiting on Friday's house closing (still waiting on the final word of our financing, so we are planning on it being okay), and enjoying our rather simple but lit tree in our living room.
After much thought, I've decided that not only is a Christmas move most inconvenient, but it is also a blessing. Not everyone who moves gets to have the visual reminders of how much God is in control, and that all else is meaningless without Christ. I am so thankful for Jesus and this holiday season in which I celebrate His birth.
In case I'm not on here again any time soon...

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
New Jersey - Day Five
On Sunday afternoon, we all went here...
This was an afternoon of color and meandering through it; it was marvelous. I've purchased postcards before that have been more vibrant than what I actually saw, and wished that I had seen what they portrayed. But this afternoon, I walked alongside the most vibrant colored bushes I have ever seen. I love seeing God's creation.

We took so many pictures trying to get these three precious boys synchronized with their tossing up of leaves. These three show the best results of said attempt.

Adorable boys! And adorable Sophie!

The picture below is one of my favorites from the trip. Beyond the grey tree trunks, are a diverse mix of bright and cheery colors.

This afternoon will go down in my memory as a lifetime highlight.

Lost and Found
Have found my "gift list" in a most unusual spot. I fear this is only the beginning of our lost and found moments over the next few months.
On another note, I have really been digging into the packing. It is both bad and not so bad at the same time. The packing itself just happens when I get into it; not so bad. Time is what I long for the most in a day; lack of time, bad. The balance of life in the midst of packing; bad.
We hope to know today or tomorrow if we are truly a go for closing at the end of next week!

New Jersey - Day Four
Saturday! We packed a lot into this fabulous, sunshiny, altogether day! First stop to Heaven Hill Farm for corn mazes, animals, hayrides, pony rides, and lots of hands on activities!

There is a bit of a coaster feeling as we drive around on the roads back East; continually curving up and down and all around, in and out of New Jersey and New York. Rob and Lori live very closely to several beautiful valleys. We did a lot in Warwick Valley. Including a pizza lunch at Warwick Valley Winery, where an unexpected Autumn Festival was happening. We got blankets out of the cars, and joined in for a picnic! That afternoon was a real highlight for me. Even in the midst of everyone there, we found complete relaxation and freedom, not to mention marvelous food! And the children all enjoyed playing and running and rolling around. No one seemed to mind their activity - another advantage!

The valleys open up to farm land. There is extreme black dirt in this region. It was beautiful as well.

Back to Wawayanda State Park for an afternoon hike. But first, a few photos of the sights while we drive.

On our hike now.

A historic structure where iron was previously mined.

Shuffling in the leaves.
What a beautiful day; filled with many of my favorites!
