Bowling

On Saturday, the first official day of Sam's Spring Break, we went bowling as a family. Sam was so excited. And this was to be Dellen's first bowling experience. I rather like bowling with a young family. It was a great advantage to my game to have the use of the bumper rails.

Both boys enjoyed sliding around on the wood floor in their bowling shoes. After Dellen was shown how to roll the ball the first time, he lost complete interest. Instead he found much amusement in the racing car simulated game in the lobby. (He is just pretending; there was no money put in the game.) And the horse and carriage ride by the front door.

Sam was able to bowl twice as much as a result, as he bowled much of Dellen's game.

We did end up bowling two games, and Dellen was much interested in his turn during the latter game.

After bowling, we headed off to the Convenient Care Clinic as Sam continued to complain about pain in his ear. We were thankful to get in within an hour of their closing, and happy we didn't have to wait until Monday to get Sam into the doctor's office. Sam has another ear infection in the same ear that was infected in January. He is once again on antibiotics, and this time also allergy medicine. The doctor hopes to keep as much of Sam's head and nasal pressure clear so fluid doesn't continue to build up, leading to the ear infections. I was able to look in both ears myself. It was amazing to see the difference, and definitely assured me of my choice to bring Sam into the Clinic.
