This last summer, I brought home my grandma’s old sewing machine. (Antique and not working, but very charming). In one of the drawers of the table, was her "button bag" that was labeled in her stitching. At Thanksgiving, I picked up this old canning jar of Grandma’s that my dad had. And the other day, I placed her buttons in it. There were so many buttons that I also needed the second smaller canning jar. What a variety of buttons! I’m sure there are stories to be told in these jars. I’m keeping her "bag" too; with her sweet initials stitched in the side.
