The boys had dental appointments this afternoon, and you’ll be able to see some affects of the anesthetic in some of these pictures. When we were done at the dentist, the rain had let up for the first time in nearly four days, and we thought it would be fun to see how much water was running through the creek. We stopped at our local coffee house for some treats and took to our favorite neighborhood trail. Signs of spring were everywhere!
For those of you who have walked with us on the trail, the concrete bridge to the other side is covered up in the pictures below. The water was really running; what a great sound that is!
The following video is probably only interesting to grandparents… The boys are jumping on and off a log on the path. There are so many dead trees and broken branches everywhere it breaks my heart. More evidence of the brutal summer last year.
This trail is closer to home and after seeing how high the other creek was we decided to come see if it was over the sidewalk as we’ve seen the caution sign always but never water enough to be flowing over. While it still wasn’t as much as it could be, it was flowing pretty steadily.

We enjoyed the rain, but I was so glad to see the sun today! We spent most of the day outside working in the yard. Wonderful! Our little creek had lots of extra water this week too.
Everything looks so lush and beautiful! What a beautiful path you have to enjoy. Next time you will definitely have to take us there!
